Welcome Dr. Riley Scott to Montana Dental Works!

Expanding Our Legacy of Care with a New Era of Wellness-Focused Dentistry

We’re thrilled to announce that Dr. Riley Scott has joined the Montana Dental Works team! Her arrival marks an exciting new chapter for our practice — one that builds on over five decades of hometown care while expanding our commitment to advanced, whole-body wellness dentistry.

From Minnesota Roots to Montana Mountains

Originally from Nevis, Minnesota, Dr. Scott brings with her a strong foundation in general dentistry, a deep appreciation for small-town living, and a heart for people. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2021, where she was recognized for excellence in esthetic dentistry and leadership.

Before dental school, Dr. Scott was a standout student-athlete at Concordia University, St. Paul, helping lead her volleyball team to two NCAA National Championships and earning the 2018 NCAA Today’s Top Ten Award, one of the highest honors given to collegiate athletes nationwide. Her background in athletics continues to influence her approach to dentistry — emphasizing discipline, balance, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

A Focus on Airway Health and Whole-Body Wellness

Dr. Scott’s clinical philosophy goes far beyond the traditional dental model. She is passionate about understanding how the mouth, airway, and overall health are deeply connected — an approach that brings tremendous value to our patients here in the Flathead Valley.

She has completed specialized training through the Airway Health Solutions Pediatric Mini-Residency (AHS), where she studied early intervention techniques, jaw and facial growth guidance, and the treatment of sleep-disordered breathing in children. Dr. Scott also participates in the Guided Airway-Supported Protocols (GASP) program, working alongside leading airway dentists across the country to deepen her understanding of how airway development impacts sleep, growth, and overall wellness in both children and adults.

By focusing on airway health, Dr. Scott helps patients address the root causes of breathing issues — such as mouth breathing, snoring, and sleep apnea — using non-surgical, preventive strategies that support long-term health and vitality.

Advanced Training in Implant Dentistry

In addition to her airway expertise, Dr. Scott completed the Boston MaxiCourse, a highly regarded, 9-month advanced program for dental implant placement and restoration. This intensive training allows her to perform complex restorative procedures with precision and confidence, further expanding the services available to our patients at Montana Dental Works.

Care That Feels Like Montana

Dr. Scott’s gentle demeanor, attention to detail, and wellness-centered mindset make her a perfect fit for our practice. She believes in treating every patient as a whole person — not just a set of teeth — and takes time to listen, educate, and create treatment plans that truly align with each patient’s goals.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Scott and her husband, Jake, love exploring everything Montana has to offer — from hiking and fishing to hunting and taking in the beauty of the Flathead Valley. They are proud to call Montana home and look forward to being part of this incredible community.

A Warm Welcome from the Montana Dental Works Family

The addition of Dr. Scott allows our team — Dr. Dan McAllister, Dr. Sarah Fontana, and Dr. Riley Scott — to continue offering the highest quality care for patients across Kalispell, Whitefish, and Bigfork, while integrating new approaches that connect oral health to total body wellness.

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Dr. Scott to our Montana Dental Works family. Her passion for advanced, compassionate dentistry ensures our patients receive not only exceptional care, but care that’s deeply personal, preventive, and purpose-driven.
